The Role - Legal and Business Advisor

The organisation is seeking to hire two Legal & Business Advisors into their expanding in-house legal team.

The team provide industry-leading business and legal advice to the organisation's members. You will be exposed to working with professionals at all levels providing quality legal consultancy services.

Alongside a sound knowledge of law, with a particular focus on contract and public law, this is a brilliant opportunity for those with a more entrepreneurial mindset.

You will be working as a Practice Management Consultant, providing support services focused on the NHS, business and general practice. In addition, you will be expected to aid members navigate the legal framework in which small businesses operate - helping to overcome financial, legal and other business challenges faced by healthcare professionals.

With your support and guidance, practitioners will be able to ensure their practices reach their full potential: running legally, efficiently and profitably.

Requirements

  • Background in law (academic or professional) or practical experience of working within a legal, regulatory or relevant commissioning environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Good personal organisation skills so that work is prioritised correctly and deadlines are met
  • A commitment to providing a high level of service to individuals
  • Flexibility and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Good IT Skills
  • Experience in clinical negligence or medically focused contractual law is desirable but not essential
