A leading UK mixed-tenure developer with a market value of over £2.5 bn. is seeking a Legal Conveyancer Exec to manage a team of Conveyancing Managers, based in Greater East London. The Conveyancing team supports the legal team and sales team on the acquisition of land, the sale of land parcels to third-party developers. This role offers great working from home options and a fabulous newly built state-of-the-art office.

The Role
You will report to the General Counsel and work closely with the Divisions’ Sales Teams to determine priorities based on future development projects and to ensure critical deadlines are completed. You will manage a team of Conveyancing Managers and their respective teams to provide conveyancing services to all Divisions within the Company Group, to ensure delivery of the sale of a high volume of residential and prime properties. You will report to the Divisions’ Sales Teams on a regular basis as to the delivery of services where you can ensure consistency across the business units in the quality and nature of legal services provided. You will regularly liaise with the Legal Director who manages three legal teams within the Group responsible for land acquisition and major residential developments.

The Candidate
Ideally, you will have 10yrs + as a Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer with experience in managing, supervising and/or mentoring staff. Must have in-depth conveyancing experience in the UK market, preferably on new build dwellings with an ability to manage three teams of conveyancers responsible for achieving the sale of a sizeable number of dwellings per annum. This role requires a high standard of drafting skills where template/contracts and other relevant documents need to be regularly reviewed in order to streamline the conveyancing process. As Team Manager you will be required to keep abreast of changes in conveyancing laws and practices, to assess the impact on the services provided by the Conveyancing Team and the precedent documentation used. Candidates with professional experience gained in-house and/or within a reputable law firm with residential developers is highly advantageous.
