Legal Advisor (Art law – ideal , Commercial/Contracts/ IP/Copyright 3-7 yrs PQE

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a leading contemporary art gallery which is looking for an experienced lawyer to undertake a broad range of commercial work.  Having a passion for art, you will ideally have trained at a top law firm and have some in house and art sector experience.

The client is looking for a dynamic and dedicated individual who will report into the Head of Legal, and is either qualified here or in the US, given their plans are to expand into the US market. The role will includes negotiating, drafting and amending a wide range of agreements including commission, sales, fabrication, film and exhibition agreements. You will also deal with IP and copyright issues, trademark applications/extensions. In addition, you will advise and assist represented artists, galleries and museums and liaise with internal departments around the world.
