Litigation Counsel

Litigation Asset Manager is actively seeking to hire an England & Wales qualified litigation lawyer. The right individual will be a qualified mid level lawyer with experience of domestic and international disputes from a highly regarded City law firm. This role will require the lawyer to manage disputes from instruction through to successful resolution. 

Overview: 

• Form close relationships with external clients, balancing carefully the need to manage risk and protect the investment.
• Be a spokesperson for funding – attending events, conferences and meetings with law firms and brokers, provide education on litigation funding to the market.
• Ongoing management of existing and new relationships. 
• Evaluate the legal merits of the case metrics including a detailed assessment of legal arguments and evidence.
• Full management of legal and economic due-diligence process. 
• Preparing internal legal advice relating to the merits for review at investment committee stage.
• Review counsel opinion and expert reports, and prepare documents for internal evaluation.
• Consider and assess the commercial and economic values of the case.
• Full case management and monitoring after the dispute has been approved for funding.
