We are now looking to appoint a new Group General Counsel to be based at our London headquarters in Canary Wharf.  In this well-respected role, you will be a key member of the senior management team with full responsibility for the legal function.  Reporting to the Group Finance Director, you will lead a small legal team, made up of two qualified lawyers and a paralegal, whilst also managing relations with our external legal advisers.

In addition to advising on the legal aspects of complex, high-profile property development projects which often involve joint venture, tax and funding issues, you will also be expected to take the lead on providing legal and compliance advice in areas such as construction, planning and the general corporate and commercial matters affecting the day to day running of the business.

To succeed in this broad and challenging role, you are likely to have at least 15 years’ PQE* in property development, some of which will have been gained in-house. Working with colleagues across the entire spectrum of the business, we are looking for a resourceful, confident lawyer who is both technically strong and commercially-minded with a distinctly pragmatic approach to problem solving.
