In House Legal Counsel

THE ROLE

Reporting in to the Senior Legal Counsel for the International Business, you will assume responsibility for and independent conduct of legal matters within the group business, providing legal advice and support to group companies and colleagues in the UK and abroad.

Your work will encompass a full range of contracts and commercial support including:

Negotiating, drafting and liaising with third parties in relation to contracts.

Providing advice and support in relation to the terms of existing contracts, advising on the Company's liabilities and obligations, termination rights, performance management and other provisions.

Assisting sales and customer retention departments in dealing with customer contract breaches, retentions, terminations, re-signs and renegotiations.

Investigating alleged customer breaches, reviewing contractual documentation and correspondence, assisting sales and customer care teams by producing and reviewing appropriate template correspondence and documentation.

Negotiating and resolving disputes.

You will also handle corporate, regulatory and compliance matters and keep abreast of industry and legal changes and advise on the impact on the business.

ABOUT YOU

A commercially aware lawyer with 2pqe+, you will be up to date on Company law issues.

You will ideally already have in house experience and be a team worker, with exposure to working with multi-disciplinary teams

Fluency in German or Spanish would be desirable but not essential.
