Reporting to: General Counsel

Our client is looking for an experienced contract manager or paralegal with strong contracting and drafting experience, preferably gained in a telecoms environment. This individual will be part of the Legal Team and responsible for providing contracting and transaction support. This will include drafting and finalising group deals. The individual will assist the Legal team with IOD, matters, including aspec technology contracts, work packages and standard product and service agreements, The contract manager will play an essential part in achieving the ICS and IOD goals.
 

Responsibilities and requirements include:

  • Drafting and providing ongoing contract support
  • Providing contract support to the Group Legal function for technology and commercial contracts.
  • Objective analysis of risks with ability and confidence to provide solutions quickly to satisfy legal, regulatory and business requirements.
  • Establishing strong working relationships with the business units globally.
  • Ensuring adherence to the firm’s corporate governance.
     

Experience and Background

You will need experience in contract drafting and management. Required operational experience includes:

  • Solid experience in drafting commercial contracts, ideally in a telecoms environment.
  • Excellent technical drafting skills and an understanding of legal issues and risks.
  • Experience of working in partnership with the business.
     

Skills and Attitude

You will need to be comfortable working in an international business, with a track record as a good project manager, with a “can-do” attitude, who can see projects through to closure in a timely manner.

  • Proactive and practical, whilst being a constructive and consultative team player, with an ability to brief.
  • Good planning, multi-tasking, organisational, communications and problem solving skills.
