Construction NQ-1 - Cambridgeshire
As a junior solicitor it can be difficult to ensure you are getting the right levels of exposure early on in your career. You need a firm that is committed to your development and willing to pass you work, as well as showing a clear commitment to the development and progression of its staff.
Acting for all sides of the industry including contractors, SME builders, private individuals, developers, academic institutions and housing associations this team offers fantastic exposure, seeing transactions through from start to finish.
As part of their growth plans this Cambridgeshire firm is looking to grow the team with a newly created position for a Construction Solicitor between NQ-1PQE. As a Solicitor you will have access to a mixture of contentious and non-contentious matters, with work coming from their excellent local reputation, as well as a strong London client base. The team also benefits from a well-developed international client base with many referrals due to their respected partners.
The team works through the negotiation, drafting, amendment and finalisation of project-specific agreements including development agreements, building contracts, bonds, guarantees and collateral warranties and other documents supporting development works. They also offer advice on procurement, contract negotiation and drafting including advising on all main Standard Form Contracts and Sub-Contracts - the JCT suite, ICE, NEC and FIDIC.
This position is ideal for a Construction Solicitor looking to make the next step into a ranked practice working on leading local, national and international matters. Having a team of trained and retained solicitors, there is a clear precedent for retaining staff with their collaborative style and emphasis on internal development, support and promotions.
