In House Commercial Legal Counsel

THE ROLE

A lawyer is sought to join to handle commercial work for a team which services both the European and APAC businesses.

Involving regular interaction with business people and management, the role has a global dimension as well as substantial autonomy, ownership and responsibility.

Set within a fast-paced environment, you will need the ability to deal with pressure, commit to deadlines and work at a good pace.

The role will include, inter alia, dealing with internal stakeholders/clients and external customer and/or service providers, reviewing, drafting, negotiating a wide range of agreements and providing legal advice on business issues.

The role may also involve general corporate and commercial advice as well as mergers and acquisitions, confidentiality, SPA and related documents.

ABOUT YOU

A lawyer with 2-4pqe, ideally with an in house background, you will be capable of working with minimal supervision.

Financial services experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

Additional experience from one or more of the following areas would also be beneficial but again is not essential - compliance, intellectual property, litigation, distribution / structured products or derivatives.

You will be able to deal with competing demands and have the ability to build rapport with both stakeholders and colleagues.
