Our client is seeking a Head of Regulation, Risk & Compliance to lead across the Finance arm of the business. You will be accountable for delivering the strategic implementation of regulatory and compliance framework for products, new products and services. You will:
- Be the owner of all monitoring programmes and subject matter expert for all regulatory, legal, governance, risk and data compliance.
- Lead and inspire Partners to adhere to the controls and obligations so we can continue to grow whilst protecting the brand, customers and our commercial ambitions in a regulated environment.
- Manage the external interface with third party providers, industry counterparts and governing bodies, ensuring relationships are established and developed in order to achieve our ambitions.
You will come with:
- Typically 10 years experience in legal as qualified Solicitor of England and Wales, and regulatory compliance, and implementation of control frameworks - Applicable Regulatory status (eg Approved Person / SMCR and DMLRO) permissions
- Regulatory experience in the financial services and/or personal lines insurance sectors either as a regulatory lawyer, risk officer or head of compliance.
- Experience of working in a digital / e-commerce consumer facing organisation
- Working knowledge of credit broking and insurance regulations.
- Deep understanding of GDPR and its implications for the application of data led product initiatives with considering to customers next-best-action initiatives (also covering automated context such as use of ML and AI).
- Experience of digital E-commerce business.
