In-house Residential Conveyancing Lawyer

We are currently recruiting for a Residential Property Lawyer to join the in-house legal team of one of the UK's largest mortgage lenders.

The role will assist the business and external conveyancing lawyers, advising on the risks of lending from a conveyancing and legal perspective.

The legal team receive a high volume of queries from the business requesting guidance on the ability to lend following a query from buyers solicitors. Drawing on your knowledge of residential property law you will be required to make sensible decisions using a risk-based approach. You will then need to communicate your response to the business in a clear way.

This role would be an excellent opportunity for a private practice residential conveyancing lawyer to move in-house and both maintain and develop the skill set they have acquired.

We will consider a qualified solicitor, CILEX or experienced paralegal with significant residential conveyancing experience. An ability to assess risk as well as to work autonomously is essential.

The role also affords the opportunity to be home based should you so wish.
