Head of Legal, Buy side firm with over £20bn AUM

OUR CLIENT:

A leading buy side firm is looking to hire a Head of Legal to oversee their legal team. Following a recent injection of billions into the fund, they are looking to broaden out their coverage into the private markets space.

THE ROLE:

As the Head of Legal, you will have line management responsibility of two lawyers, assisting a range of senior stakeholders including the executive committee on different legal matters such as:

·         Launch and maintenance of private funds across different types of fund ranges not limited to: Private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, infrastructure funds, real estate funds, etc

·         Assisting on segregated account mandates

·         Reviewing, and negotiating on a range of fund documents such as IMAs, distribution agreements etc

·         Assisting on regulatory advice to the senior management team in addition to horizon scanning

THE CANDIDATE:

The successful candidate will have:

·         10+ years’ experience with a private practice firm or a leading financial services institution

·         Private / Unregulated / Alternative Funds experience

·         Segregated or managed accounts experience will be a plus but is not a prerequisite

·         Proactive lawyer looking to help a firm expand on the existing fund range
