Corporate Funds Lawyers (NQ-6yrs PQE) – Hong Kong

Elite global law firm seeks to recruit a number of Associates ranging from NQ-6 PQE for its expanding Corporate Funds group in Hong Kong.

A market leading practice with a particular focus on closed-ended private equity, real estate, and infrastructure and debt funds, our client acts for fund sponsors on fund formation, co-investments, and restructuring, often working closely with colleagues across private equity, real estate, energy & infrastructure and finance. In addition, they also advise investors in such funds, including pension funds, insurance companies, funds-of-funds and many sovereign wealth and other supranational institutions. Key applicant requirements for this opportunity include:

• Academically superb with strong drafting skills.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills alongside a high level of commercial awareness.
• For the junior level Associate role (NQ-3 PQE), the ideal candidate will have experience in transactional funds and regulatory/compliance work. HK qualified, Chinese language skills are highly preferred as is direct experience working with the SFC.
• For the mid-level Associate role (3-6 PQE), the ideal candidate will have general fund experience and be Common law qualified. Chinese language skills preferred but not essential.

At all levels, Associates will be given the chance to handle a tremendous variety of transactions with Partners actively ensuring individual lawyers receive their preferred mix of work, where at all possible. Offering responsibility for running transactions and working closely with clients and other lawyers, you will continue to build comprehensive transaction management and organisational skills as well as developing superb technical abilities.
