Senior Legal Counsel, Commercial Contracts

A very busy legal operations team is currently seeking a senior legal counsel with commercial contracts experience to perform a broad commercial role in the context of financial services. The role will have various elements including looking after the managed services operation which currently completes the majority of BAU contracts. As the internal lawyer, you will also be required to draft and negotiate all different types of contracts and you will also work on some large-scale commercial projects. You will need to be commercially minded to understand the requirements from a general business perspective. You will work on sponsorship agreements as well as the IP elements. You will partner with procurement, look at consulting agreements and support on infrastructure and data. Any property experience would also be beneficial but is not required.

Working within a unique organisation will bring challenges to this role and there is likely to be lots of development for the successful candidate. Financial services experience is not required but being flexible and open to learning is. You will be joining at a critical turning point in the organisation and the business look to fulfil its strong aspirations.
