Litigation Paralegal/ Litigator

Our client are looking for a Litigation Paralegal or Litigator to join their personal injury team in Bristol on a permanent basis. Your new role
You will be responsible for assessing prospects and quantum and handling a caseload of pre-litigated and litigated Non-Motor personal injury claims on behalf of Claimants. The range of work covered in the department is varied and the team operates in a busy, thriving and friendly environment. The department encourages early responsibility, whilst ensuring that you benefit from appropriate supervision, mentoring and training. Your duties will include:

• Handling a caseload of pre and post-litigated non-motor personal injury claims involving liability, causation and quantum disputes;
• Drafting Court Pleadings;
• Complying with all Court Directions;
• Trial Preparation;
• Advocacy;

What you'll need to succeed

You will have experience of handling your own case load of Claimant EL/PL personal injury cases in a team environment and the ability to assess prospects of success across a whole host of EL/PL personal injury claims. Excellent working knowledge of the legal principles that are applicable to non-motor related accidents would be preferred, as would some working knowledge of Employment Regulations; Highways Act; Occupiers Liability and Public Liability. Knowledge of the online claims portal is essential.
