The banking team in Birmingham forms an integral part of the firm’s global banking practice operating throughout the UK, Europe, US, Middle East, Africa, and Asia acting for:
 

• UK and global financial institutions
• Private equity houses
• Funds
• Major corporates
• Corporate borrowers and lenders
• International sponsors
• Developers

The successful banking lawyer joining this banking team in Birmingham will undertake complex domestic and cross-border transactions across corporate and leverage finance, real estate finance, and project and infrastructure finance. This will include:
 

• M&A
• Corporate finance and refinancing
• Group reorganisation
• Debt capital markets
• Bilateral, syndicated, and structured transactions
• Transport and social infrastructure matters
• Renewables assets matters
• Support for the corporate, real estate, tax, and construction teams

This position is ideally suited to banking lawyers with a minimum of two years’ PQE. Banking lawyers applying for this position should be able to display:
 

• A strong academic background
• Training and qualified experience in banking gained with a reputable national practice
• Strong technical knowledge
• Strong communication skills
• Experience in business development and client relationship management
