Corporate Lawyer - 4-6 years pqe - Oman

This leading law firm in Dubai are looking for a 4-7 year pqe corporate lawyer. You will be based in their office in Oman working in a busy corporate team focusing on domestic and cross-border international transactions across all industry sectors. You will be a key member of the existing Oman Corporate team and will lend a hand on transactions run by other Corporate partners around the Middle East from time to time.

You will be responsible for a variety of work in a broad based role including;
- M&A, Private Equity and Venture Capital transactions , Joint Ventures, Corporate structuring projects, Funds/Capital raising

In doing so, you will be expected to
- Provide efficient professional support to partners, and help mentor and guide junior members of the team
- Develop professional client relationships
- Support the wider team in developing business and raising the profile of the firm
- Involvement in marketing events
- Managing and supervising the work of others including trainees
You will work with other offices and local counsel in other countries for multi-jurisdictional projects


About you

You will have trained at an international law firm and have solid experience of a wide variety of corporate transactions, both domestic and cross-border. You will have excellent drafting and transaction management skills and the ability to translate legal theory into practical advice. Due to the role being client facing you will need to have sound judgement and good interpersonal and consultancy skills. The ideal candidate will have good experience of cross-border M&A. Experience of working or living in the Middle East would be helpful but not essential, as are Arabic language skills.  This is an international law firm with leading businesses throughout Europe, The Middle East, Asia and beyond.
