Offshore Disputes Partner / Counsel – Shanghai

Leading offshore law firm is looking to appoint a senior Commonwealth qualified disputes lawyer (barrister or solicitor) with a minimum 8yrs PQE to spearhead its China related practice. Leading and developing a team of litigators, the successful applicant will be responsible for managing a broad portfolio of ultra-high-value, high-profile offshore clients requiring advice with regards BVI / Cayman related disputes.   

Possessing demonstrable leadership, development and supervisory experience, you will have a proven track record in the effective handling of litigation matters, ideally in cross-border cases involving offshore clients, while also capable of generating and maintaining client relationships through independent and co-ordinated business development initiatives. The work is diverse and interesting and will require the ability to delegate matters will also taking responsibility for multiple files at any given times. 

Offering an attractive financial package with significant long-term career potential, the incumbent will become a key lawyer for the firm in Asia with significant responsibilities for the direction of the litigation practice across the region. This opportunity will be at the Partner or Counsel level, depending on seniority / business case considerations and will suit an individual that enjoys being “hands on”.
