New! - we are actively seeking an experienced Corporate Partner to join a highly regarded Legal 100 law firm based in London. The London office of the firm seeks a corporate partner to join the team for further growth and succession planning. The corporate team handles a broad diet of M&A, venture capital, equity fund raising, and  reorganisations etc. Clients include entrepreneurs, founders, management teams, institutional and high net worth investors as well as SMEs, large UK and international corporates and domestic and international banks. Applicants should be excellent practitioners as well as strong business developers. A minimum following of £250,000+ is expected.

This is a Chambers-rated top-tier corporate practice which offers excellent exposure to an impressive array of both regional, city and international clients. You can expect exposure to complex M&A; Private Equity and a diverse range of corporate matters from day one. Remote working from home is promoted to all practice areas within the firm.

We are seeking a client-facing partner or senior associate who enjoys business development/marketing and is looking to promote the corporate team and wider firm by way of cross-referrals.

You will be organised in your approach to managing conflicting deadlines and be able to work within a collegiate team environment.

 The successful individual will have some experience in areas including:

  • Private Equity, Purchase and Sale of businesses, Mergers, Acquisitions, Joint Venture agreements, Shareholder Agreements, Terms of Business etc.

This person is required on a permanent basis working as part of an experienced team undertaking M&A, and general corporate advice work, ensuring that individual financial targets and objectives are met in line with the Department business plan.

You will manage all aspects of corporate and venture capital work relevant to IP-rich, high-growth technology and life sciences companies, overseeing and developing other members of the team. The team advises clients at all stages of a company's life-cycle, and you would be expected to be as comfortable advising on early-stage company formation and pre-seed financings as you would be advising on later-stage venture and growth funding rounds, exits + M&A activity.

You will enjoy exposure to a wide range of clients, from entrepreneurs and scientists to seasoned and serial founders and investors in the venture capital community and mature companies. The role will also provide you the opportunity to drive forward a particular sector or area that is your passion within our clients' expanding global practice and take advantage of the exciting opportunity to be a part of strategic growth across EU, APAC and US.

An excellent knowledge of transactional processes is required and this opportunity requires excellent IT/keyboard skills, planning and organisational skills as well as a flexible and positive attitude to your work. You will be joining an established team therefore the ability to work as part of a team is equally important. 

To-date, you may have also advised on some, or all, of the following areas, including:

  • Mergers & Acquisitions; Private Equity; Joint Ventures; Commercial Contracts; Data Protection; Initial Public Offerings; Share Purchase Agreements, and; Private Equity.
