The Role

This L500 Ranked firm are now seeking an Intellectual Property Lawyer to join their team in Cambridge.

This role is all about offering a client focused approach to Brand Protection! Their team work across a wider range of areas with a few who have followed their passion and specialised in one area.

They are offering a varied role, whilst there is flexibility to shape the role around the individual playing to key strengths, the firm expect it to be split 75% IP Litigation, 25% Non-Contentious elements. This type of work would include:

• Brand Protection
• Trademarks
• Designs
• Copyright
• and database right

You will be liaising with international counterparts and inhouse Legal teams with established brands across some exciting and rapidly expanding sectors.

With regards to progression, there is nothing holding you back for being a leader in this team, the firm's structure can facilitate a lot more flexibility around progression than a traditional firm's model.

They are incredibly transparent about requirements needed to be met to achieve your internal growth within the firm.

The leaders firm are not "overly protective" with their clients and you will be given autonomy to work alongside them on certain projects, meanwhile establishing your own presence and own caseload.

You will play an active role in business development and networking; having an established firm with a reputation like theirs backing you, making your own connections and own client base will come much easier than what can be achieved at other firms.

Requirements:

• You will an Intellectual Property Solicitor/ IP Litigation Lawyer with 2PQE +
• (There is no upper limit in PQE)
• You can be from a more general litigation background with elements of IP, looking to specialise
• Or from a mixed IP Role, looking or a more IP Litigation focused role
• You will be ambitious, commercially minded and dynamic
• You will be a team player
• You will be able to handle a broad range of work with a good level of autonomy
