Our client, a leading national charity, are looking to recruit a Temporary Team Leader to work in their Housing Support Team in Sheffield. This is a temporary role for a period of three months and some occasional work at weekends and outside of 9am-5pm hours will sometimes be required.

This is a great opportunity to join a leading charity, especially for those candidates who are passionate about working in the charity sector and enhancing the housing support services available within Sheffield. You will manage a team that assists people with issues such as homelessness, domestic abuse and other housing issues by providing varying levels of support, including legal representation and welfare benefits advice.

The Role
*In this role you will have responsibility for the line management of support workers and volunteers, ensuring that all casework and referrals are successfully managed and all protocols and industry standards followed;
*You will be a spokesperson for the team, both internally and externally, leading team meetings;
*Manage the team to ensure that the highest level of service is delivered to our clients;
*Assist with the recruitment of employees and volunteers;
*Assist with marketing activities;
*Set targets and objectives for the team and then work with the team to help reach these targets;
*Mentor and train the team;
*Assist with the personal development of the team by conducting appraisals and meetings with members of the team;
*Monitor the level of the work ensuring that work is fairly distributed and that the team have enough cover and resources;
*Work with external agencies and develop these professional relationships where possible;
Conduct file reviews and monitor the quality of the work produced; and Ensure that the case management systems are utilised effectively.

The Person
*You will ideally have previous experience of supporting and managing staff;
*You will ideally have a good working knowledge of homelessness, housing and welfare benefits issues;
*You will have excellent IT skills and be able to work with a variety of IT packages and systems;
*You will have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy leading teams and also be able to successfully liaise with external organisations;
*You will ideally have experience of setting targets and objectives for teams and successfully implementing them; and You will be committed to providing the highest level of service to your clients.
