The Opportunity
The organisation now need to hire a Legal Counsel. The role will lead on key contracts relating to technology transfer agreements and IP licensing as well as company start ups and spin outs. Responsibilities will include implementing the strategy of the organisation and honouring investment commitments. The investment strategy will need IP and general commercial contracts support as well as corporate/spin out advice where companies are created using seed funding.
You will support the organisation on a wide range of matters specifically focusing on the research, development and commercialisation of new and ongoing research. The work will be varied and will involve drafting and reviewing licensing agreements and other agreements relating to research and drug development as well as wider activities of the organisation.
About You
This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with life sciences experience to join with an innovative, forward-thinking organisation with an excellent reputation and keen dedication to its cause. The ideal candidate will have life sciences knowledge, ideally of how to commercialise IP, licensing of assets and some patents experience within a life sciences context. A science background would be welcome. However, broader healthcare experience or medical devices would also be well-utilised.
