A banking lawyer is offered an outstanding opportunity to join a leading international practice in Birmingham. With offices throughout the UK and Europe, the Middle East, Asia, South America, the USA, and Canada, this is a rare and exciting opportunity for a banking lawyer to join a truly global law firm.
The banking team in Birmingham act European, Asian, and US banks, funders, borrowers, and private equity houses on projects throughout the UK and internationally spanning various sectors including:
- Financial Services
- Aerospace and Defence
- Renewable Energy
- Retail, Leisure, and Hospitality
- Infrastructure
- Healthcare
- Mining
- Technology
- Real Estate and Regeneration
The successful banking lawyer joining this market leading banking team in Birmingham will act on high-value, challenging, and complex banking matters (often cross-border) which will include:
- UK and international mid-market financing
- Advising on ISDA, hedging, and credit support documentation
- Acquisition finance
- Drafting and negotiating loan facility, security, intercreditor, and ancillary documents
- Corporate lending
- Derivative and debt capital markets
- Asset / Receivables finance
- Project finance
This position is ideally suited to banking lawyers with a minimum of four years’ PQE. Banking lawyers applying for this position should be able to display:
- A strong academic background
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong technical knowledge and commercial acumen
- Experience in business development and client relationship management
- Experience in the supervision and support of more junior colleagues is preferred
