Funds Lawyer (c5-5yrs PQE) - Cayman Islands

We are actively assisting our client, a premier offshore law firm, in the hire of an ambitious funds lawyer for their busy Cayman practice. Their team are uniquely positioned to provide real-time, multijurisdictional legal advice, across their integrated office network that spans the Caribbean, Channel Islands and Asia,  representing managers, sponsors and general partners, together with directors, investors and creditors on a wide variety of transactions. 

Work includes the structuring of all types of investment funds, investment management and co-investment arrangements, and separate account mandates while also advising across the full spectrum of alternative asset classes, including hedge funds, private equity, real estate, venture capital and infrastructure, plus Shari’ah-compliant and hybrid strategies. The team also act for clients on the establishment of funds on their downstream transactional work and financing activities.

To be considered, you should possess a strong funds pedigree and have around 5-6yrs PQE developed at a recognised onshore / offshore practice. Academically strong, you will be extremely comfortable in a client facing position and at the stage of your career where you are looking to take on greater responsibility for transactions, running smaller matters independently from start to finish while managing junior colleagues.
