THE ROLE
A non-fee earning Staff Attorney is sought to join the Head of the Transfers Team.
You will assist in overseeing the limited partner transfer process, including:
Maintaining excellent GP-client relationships and oversight of the individual transfer process for each GP-client.
Supervision of the paralegal transfer team including oversight and review of legal work.
Negotiations with investor counsel and liaising with specialist US tax, ERISA and other advisers (in each case where required).
Development of precedents and updates to transfer documents to take account of changes in law, regulation, best practice.
Continual assessment of the transfer process for each GP-client with a view to maximising efficiency.
Liaising with the main funds team to keep updated on wider developments for each GP-client e.g., recent fundraisings, creation of sidecars, change in relevant client contacts.
ABOUT YOU
A lawyer 3pqe+ with transactional legal experience and seeking a non-earning role, you will ideally have a funds background, or you may be a corporate or banking lawyer with an interest in funds who is ready to build your knowledge and understanding.
