Job Details
A senior and energetic lawyer with considerable experience in various banking litigation is being sought to manage high profile matters at the Central London office of an established UK bank. This position heads up a small team and at least some management experience will be required. The role sits across the investment and corporate bank but also deals with escalated matters from the retail bank.
You will manage technical and complex high value litigation as you oversee disputes relating to operations and services and put in place policies and procedures to mitigate legal risk. You will provide strategic input and work as a senior member of the wider legal division as you interface with the financial crime, regulatory and risk departments. You will be expected to fully engage internally and externally, instructing external counsel, dealing with regulators and government bodies and attending industry relevant events.
