Our client, a leading Law Costs firm are looking to recruit Costs Draftsmen to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a Solicitor's firm that specialises purely in Law Costs with instructions from national and international law firms.

The Person
  • Ideally you will have approximately 3 years previous experience working in a law costs team, ideally working on personal injury, clinical negligence and/or commercial litigation matters;
  • You will have excellent technical and analytical skills;
  • You will be a good negotiator;
  • You will have an excellent working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules;
  • You will have excellent communication skills and experience of conducting your own advocacy would be beneficial but is not essential; and
  • You will have experience of managing your own caseload and drafting all legal paperwork relevant to the case.
The role
  • Working on behalf of clients who tend to be international and national law firms;
  • Advising on the law costs aspects of personal injury, clinical negligence and/or commercial litigation cases referred to you by the above clients;
  • Drafting the necessary legal documentation including (but not limited to) bills, budgets, points of dispute and replies; and
  • Attending CMC's and detailed assessments.
