This global top tier powerhouse is looking to expand its intellectual property team in Leeds

The team and the role
- The non-contentious IP team sits within the broader commercial group and is ranked tier one in Leeds
- Headed up by a dynamic young partner, the team acts for a veritable smorgasbord of household name clients across multiple sectors
- This role focuses predominantly on servicing their ever-growing roster of major clients across leisure & hospitality, food & drink, and retail, as well as some input within the manufacturing group
- In particular, they act for a number of high profile hotel chains, major food & drink and restaurant chains and all the best-known food delivery platforms
- You can expect a varied diet of franchising, collaboration, research & development arrangements, brand & IP licensing, IP assignments, dealing with the IP aspects of large corporate and commercial transactions, advising on IP issues in software licensing, IP reviews & advice and brand advisory work

More about you
- You will be a qualified solicitor with a strong grounding in non contentious IP matters and a genuine passion for this area
- Ideally you will have a good year or so's PQE under your belt, up to around 3PQE as this role is at Associate level
- If you have some solid experience in drafting commercial experience or getting involved in large corporate transactions to supplement your IP experience, this would be beneficial
- A solid academic profile is a must, as many of the matters are complex and technical
- You will be a confident and articulate communicator and keen to develop relationships with key clients
