Regulatory Lawyer - Global Bank

My client, an international bank, is looking to hire a regulatory lawyer ideally with 4 years+ PQE to join its busy team in London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• acting as a trusted advisor and delivering expert legal advice in relation to the laws and regulations governing investment services, notably those applicable to the UK retail and private banking segments in relation to launching, changing, remediating or closing investment services (e.g. custody of investments, execution of investment trades, advisory services and discretionary services);

• partnering the Private Bank business and the Wealth Management business to support them in the distribution of investment products (e.g. funds, structured products, offshore bonds, pensions, ISAs and other investment products);

• drafting and negotiating contractual arrangements including client facing terms (which can range from developing clear and concise client friendly documentation for retail clients to customised documentation for bespoke investment solutions to High Net Worth, Ultra High Net Worth and Family Office clients or professional clients);

• leading on the development of new propositions and services, including in the digital space and advising on the associated emerging legal and regulatory risks in the fin tech space;

• providing input into the strategy and delivery of initiatives both within the business and the Legal function (including the Legal Priorities); and

• supporting across the BUK Legal function in relation to the full range of products and services offered by BUK, where required.
