Legal & Compliance Officer – Belgium

A leading global professional services company trading on the NYSE has engaged Major, Lindsey & Africa on an exclusive basis to conduct a search for a Legal & Compliance Officer to be based in their Brussels office in Belgium.

Overview: This exciting opportunity offers the chance to play a vital role in an international, well respected professional services firm. The Legal & Compliance Officer will work closely with key stakeholders in both Belgium and the UK on regulatory demands and risk management issues. Reporting into the Chief Counsel for Benelux and France, the role will act as a ‘trusted advisor’ and interact with the legal, compliance and business functions of the company, helping to develop compliance policies and implement regulatory change.

Compensation: Competitive base salary and benefits commensurate with experience.

Location: Brussels, Belgium (flexible working)

Experience: The company is seeking someone from a private practice/in house background with experience in the insurance sector or financial services more broadly. English, French and Dutch language skills are required for this position.
