My client is a leading financial institution looking to bring on a Deputy Head of Legal to work alongside and assist the Head of Legal in a wide variety of matters from day one.
This ideal candidate will come from a strong lending background and will have ideally covered the emerging markets space extensively. Although the lending background and emerging markets experience are a necessity, my client is also open to seeing profiles from with a blend of project finance/trade finance/commodities and corporate work.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced lawyer (from either an in-house or private practice team) to join a small fast paced team that works on a variety of interesting and challenging matters. If you eventually would like to work in a Head of Legal capacity leading a small team of lawyers this is the perfect proving ground to do that.
The PQE banding for this role is flexible but it is essential that the individual in questions is able to stand on their own two feet and perhaps even be able to work in the Head of Legal capacity already (not an absolute necessity although this would be a plus).
In addition to the above, good knowledge of the French language is a big plus. For this reason I am also looking to speak with French qualified lawyers for may be interested in this position.
