Construction Disputes Associate: Recognised as one of the global elite 'Circle' of Law firms, an opportunity is available for a Construction Disputes Associate to join their team in the London office. You will have a high level of responsibility working across a range of global sectors ranging from domestic to multi-million-pound cross-border oil & gas disputes and arbitrations, and high-value offshore work.

The Role

This global elite law firm is seeking a construction disputes associate 2-5 PQE to join their construction and infrastructure team in their City of London office.

The construction disputes team is part of a wider group of a world-class disputes team, recognised for their providing commercial astute advice across all the main dispute forums. The team's extensive experience covers commercial and industrial real estate; rail, road, port and airport infrastructure, power generation facilities; oil and gas facilities; mining and ancillary transport and logistical facilities.

You will be:

Focusing on high-value domestic and international cross-border contentious construction work across a range of sectors including infrastructure, transport, energy and natural resources.

  • Acting for major developers, contractors, funders, and employers whilst managing client relationships at the front end.
  • Obtain a high level of responsibility for day-to-day management of contentious matters, reporting to and working closely alongside partners.
  • Working closely with the firm's award-winning banking and projects practice on a range of matters

Requirements

UK qualified (or other common-law jurisdiction) with 2-5 years PQE gained at a City / Top international firm. (Senior Associates are encouraged to apply and will be considered for a more senior position)

  • Excellent academic background
  • Solid experience acting for commercial clients in contentious matters encompassing domestic, international and cross-border issues
  • Experience working in energy, infrastructure, transport and resources sectors and on project financed matters
