Senior Legal Counsel (Commercial/Corporate)

A unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced commercial and corporate transactional lawyer to join the growing legal team of a global communications satellite network provider. With a mission to remove the barriers to connectivity on Earth and enable affordable, high-speed and low-latency communications for businesses and communities around the world, the rollout of a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites will change the world. Based at the London headquarters, this newly created position will have a hand in driving the technology revolution in space. The role will be responsible for providing invaluable legal advice and counsel on a variety of the companies global technical and business development efforts.

Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, you will lead negotiations on complex commercial transactions with customers and vendors, including global procurement contracts with a focus on telecommunications and SaaS agreements. The role will also require you to provide invaluable support to a multitude of international business development projects, corporate transactions and global compliance and regulatory matters.

Ideally, you will be 5-10 PQE with strong post-qualification experience in a top tier law firm (or other international practice of comparable profile) and gained experience in an equivalent fast-paced in-house environment. Experience of transactional work in a satellite or high-tech company is highly desirable (any candidate with satellite industry experience will be strongly considered). The ideal candidate will have the ability to work in a widely-dispersed cross-functional team environment, will be a self-motivator, enjoy a fast-paced and technically savvy environment as well as being able to show a good sense of humour.
