Product Counsel, Consumer Brand

This is a unique opportunity to join a leading FTSE 100 retail business as a Product Counsel for 9 months. 

About the Opportunity 

The role will work alongside the company’s quality team, ensuring the legal and wider reputational position of the company is both supported and protected. You will provide product regulatory advice and oversight into auditing and due diligence of factories and the supply chain, ensuring standards for the distribution network, from practical procedures to human rights, are met (or exceeded.) You will advise on sustainability projects and other environmentally led “green” initiatives, including processes and innovations. You will work closely with the commercial lawyers, advising on a range of regulatory matters, predominantly related to food and beverages and supply chain.

About You

The role will suit a lawyer with consumer law experience, preferably in product regulatory matters, although broader regulatory knowledge in any sort of consumer industry would suit, especially related to supply chain and reputation management. Experience in health and safety and/or food law would also be welcome. The ability to work with stakeholders and advise on regulatory and reputational matters in a commercial setting is key. This is a unique role and an excellent opportunity to utilise your regulatory experience in a very commercial environment.
