An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Property/Commercial Solicitor to join a national organisation who have their head office in Sheffield. As their in-house lawyer you will advise the company on a variety of in-housel legal matters which are predominantly commercial property in focus. Some ancillary commercial/contracts advice will also feature as part of the role.
The Person:
- You will ideally have had a good level of exposure to a wide range of commercial property matters either in a previous in-house or private practice role and have excellent technical skills and working knowledge of this area of law;
- You will also ideally have some previous experience of advising on commercial/contracts legal issues;
- You will have excellent commercial awareness skills and the ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders and intermediaries; and
- Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines.
- You will manage a large portfolio of real estate matters on behalf of the company, advising them throughout on all legal stages and implications, acting always in their best interests;
- Advising the company on a multitude of commercial property matters including (but not limited to) the acquisitions and disposals undertaken by the company together with lease renewals and renegotiations;
- Drafting all necessary commercial property legal documentation including (but not limited to) contracts for sale, leases and transfers;
- Advising on any ancillary commercial contracts or other commercial law issues that may arise as part of the nature of the business;
- Liaising with third party intermediaries throughout; and
- Acting in the best interests of the company and acting with professionalism at all times.
