Job Details

An e-commerce global leader offering innovative technology in how we buy products is seeking an experienced non-contentious employment lawyer to be the key legal point of contact for HR teams and other internal stakeholders. You will report to the Head of Employment (EMEA) and will work on a broad range of individual and collective employment law-related issues. As part of this role, you will work on exciting projects across business lines and across the EMEA region, dealing with a wide variety of legal topics and providing strategic legal advice.

The successful candidate will support HR teams and other internal stakeholders on business on strategic matters and employee relations. Part of this role requires you to draft and implement standard documentation of employment-related policies and procedures in partnership with the HR teams where you will focus on planning and implementing employment-related programmes to support and protect the business. As this role has a non-contentious employment focus, you will have a broad range of employment litigation and regulatory matters to manage where quick judgement is required with the support of an external counsel. This role requires you to offer sufficient training to the HR and Recruiting teams where you collaborate in developing and improving internal processes.

The Candidate
The successful candidate must be UK Qualified with ideally 6yrs+ PQE gained from a leading international law firm (Tier 1 employment team) in London. Must have a really good understanding of UK employment law while some exposure to EU employment law would be advantageous.  Applications from lawyers with In-house employment law experience, or secondment, from international business with a focus on logistics or consumer employment law-related issues would be fantastic, but we know it’s a big ask!  Must have the natural ability to prioritise employment issues in a fast-moving work environment where quick judgement and excellent interpersonal/communication skills are both paramount to succeed in this super exciting role. The successful candidate will be entitled to an excellent salary, generous stocks and a very attractive signing-on bonus, which easily exceeds the majority of current compensation packages which US Blue-Chip Tech Businesses.
