Local Authority is looking for Interim Company Secretary in Dorset, role ended in Oct/Nov. 2021.

Your new role

  • Advise the company directors on company law and financial regulations
  • Keep under review legislative, regulatory and governance issues which may impact the companies and ensures that the Board is effectively briefed on them and the companies remain compliant.
  • Advise the Chair of each Board and the Director of Housing on issues of concern or conflicts of interest


What you'll need to succeed

  • A degree in a relevant subject such as business, law, accountancy, public administration
  • Accredited by the Chartered Governance Institute
  • Good knowledge of the Companies Act 2006
  • Good knowledge of ICT including Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Professional competence in being able to take the lead on company secretary responsibilities including the business administration and governance of companies.
  • Proven ability to bring about change
