Structured Finance Lawyer - Global Bank - Contract 

The Client

Our client is a US-headquartered bank based in Canary Wharf. They are seeking someone with structured finance experience to join their EMEA Markets team on an interim basis, starting August/September 2021.  

The Role

Examples of responsibilities include:

• Providing advice to the EMEA Securities Finance business, risk and compliance partners;
• Providing advice and legal risk management support on regulations, market access, and products;
• Negotiating documents with lender clients and borrowers;
• Considering proposed amendments to existing service terms and deal documents/structures;
• Building relationships with all Business Managers and Control Functions (Compliance, Risk, Legal)
• Supporting the instruction and management of external counsel;

About You

• You should be a UK qualified lawyer with 4+ years PQE, having trained at a top law firm.
• Structured Finance experience is essential for this role, including knowledge of GMRA and GMSLA.
• Custody (CASS) experience, and knowledge of MiFID, STFR, and CSDR would be beneficial.
