Working in the Bristol office or from home if preferred, your influence upon the team will be immediate. Day-to-day, you'll take advantage of a balanced team structure, approachable leadership and paralegal support, along with the use of technologies ensuring your time is used efficiently.

The Role

4+ PQE Procurement Associate in join Band 1 Chambers-ranked, Top 50 Bristol firm.

As a team of 20, consisting of 8 Partners, the Procurement team is one of the UK's largest, and whilst a full-formed unit; they work closely with those in Real Estate, Projects, Disputes and Construction to bring some of the UK's headline projects into fruition.

You'll work with the central UK Government, local authorities, other public sector bodies, utilities and bidders on the more high profile, complex and innovative procurement processes.

Focusing on applied Procurement law, you'll work under the arm of one of the UK's leading Partners, consistently expanding your knowledge of procurement, subsidy control, public law and regulatory matters.

Example projects include designing the tender processes for framework agreements in place for COVID testing, procurement of submarines for the Navy, and numerous major £1B+ regeneration/redevelopment projects across the UK.

The Requirements

  • 4+ PQE in Procurement, experience in development projects being a plus.
  • The ability to think creatively in response to problems with a fast-paced dynamic
  • Ambition and drive in terms of increasing expertise and career progression
  • Confidence in liaising with clients and nurturing existing partnerships
