Commercial Lawyer, Retail Brand, 6 Months

About the Company

This highly recognised international retail company is renown for its connection with consumers and for making great brands and sought-after labels available to all. With strong consumer presence around the UK and internationally and lots of investment in the consumer digital space, the company now has a need for a commercial lawyer to join the business in a Senior Counsel capacity for 6 months.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will play a key role negotiating and drafting a wide range of commercial contracts across the international business. You will deal with IS and technology contracts, as well as marketing and advertising matters, digital marketing and e-commerce.

The business is a true omni-channel retailer and you will provide the necessary legal support for this as well. In addition, you will also be mindful of company and risk and be able to advise the business accordingly.

About You 

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercial lawyer to join an exciting international retail business for 6 months. City training and experience would be of value; key is a strong corporate or commercial background and knowledge of large, complex contracts. A corporate background with some tech experience would also be considered. Experience acting for or working with international companies will be highly regarded. 

You will also need to demonstrate excellent commercial acumen, a keen interest in the retail sector and the ability to operate in a professional environment with tight deadlines. You will have the opportunity to work with people across the EMEA business and as a result, strong interpersonal skills are also required.
