Star Mid-Senior Funds Associate (Elite US Firm) - Hong Kong

Top 10 US law firm seeks an aspiring funds lawyer with circa 4-6yrs PQE for its expanding investment management practice in Hong Kong. Applicants outside of this range possessing star pedigree, should also make themselves known.

In all cases, candidates will hail form a top tier international law firm, possess a superb educational background from the US, UK, Hong Kong or Australia/NZ (JD, LLM or LLB), excellent English drafting skills and deep private funds experience. While candidates with fluent Chinese language skills are preferred, the ability to read, write and speak English to a high level of fluency takes priority (though expectations are that more senior lawyers will be bilingual English/Mandarin Chinese and take an immediate client facing position).

Offering significant exposure to the structuring and formation of private equity and venture capital funds for Asia-based managers, especially in China and Hong Kong, primarily covering Asia-based investment advisers and institutional LPs, the successful applicant will become part of a growing team that looks to reward its lawyers both financially (full New York / Cravath package) and in terms of enhanced career development & progression within a firm that views Asia as key to their ambitions going forward.
