Construction Disputes Solicitor
Southampton
One of the leading names in the region, an International law firm with a top tier commercial litigation team, now seeking to recruit an experienced litigator for the construction disputes team.
The firm has acts for an enviable portfolio of clients working closely with other teams to assist clients in delivering a seamless service encompassing everything from large complex international infrastructure projects to domestic construction contracts. This role forms part of a larger commercial litigation team where partner take a proactive approach and teamwork is very much on the agenda.
You will enjoy a varied caseload providing specialist construction advice to an exciting and high profile list of clients including central government departments, household name retailers, utility providers other large contractors and developers, housebuilders and social housing providers, universities and educational establishments, defence contractors, banks and insolvency practitioners.
The disputes we advised on relate to construction and engineering projects, including defending and bringing claims for delay disruption, loss and expense, defective workmanship materials and design to the Technology and Construction Court (TCC) and advising clients in relation to adjudications, arbitrations all forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution and insurance related issues.
To be effective in the role you would ideally have experience in defending and bringing proceedings in the TCC and under the Pre-Action Protocol for Construction and Engineering Disputes, adjudication, mediation and dispute avoidance and risk avoidance. Ideally you would have a minimum of 2yrs PQE.
