In-house Property Counsel

Are you a property lawyer with a background in residential property development? Are you seeking a fresh role away from the repetition and long hours culture of private practice?

My client is a privately owned, international property development company with its routes firmly and proudly set in Cheshire. They have a well regarded and integral In-house legal team which now has an opening for a property solicitor to oversee and manage the legal work generated by their hugely successful residential homes division.

Reporting into the director of legal, this position offers the successful candidate accountability and responsibility and requires someone with at least 4 years PQE with knowledge and experience of negotiating site purchase contracts (usually on a subject to planning basis), option agreements and planning law, along with drafting purchase and option documents and developing and revising plot sale documents, working alongside externals etc.

You will be the "go-to" person for the group and will have a dotted line into the deputy chairman, providing commercial and imperative generalist advice as well as being involved in discussions on funding and tenders. It's a hugely varied and rewarding position within a collegiate team working for a supportive and friendly business with set hours that will not impede on personal and family lives. The offices are based in the south Manchester/Cheshire border, but some remote working will be considered.
