CHARTERED SECRETARY (BERMUDA) (£130,000 - £140,000) (UK GROSS COMPARATOR)

Respected and well-established Bermuda law firm is currently seeking an experienced Chartered Secretary to take responsibility for a large and complex portfolio of international companies, partnerships and insurance companies. This will include preparation for and attendance at board meetings, liaison with board members and company advisors, management and licensing of insurance companies and other entities.

The successful candidate will have:

• ACIS qualification with a minimum of five years’ experience of working in a company secretarial role;

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferably with a business related major;

• Experience of incorporation, licensing and administration of insurance companies, segregated accounts companies, limited partnerships and other entities;

• Operational knowledge of Companies Act, Corporate Services Provider Act, risk management and corporate governance frameworks;

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of anti-money laundering laws, FATCA and CRS practices;

• Experience as systems’ administrator of corporate secretarial software Viewpoint and use of the Bermuda Monetary Authority or similar on-line filing systems;

• Experience completing annual compliance reviews of clients and CDD/KYC documentation;

• Working knowledge of Nasdaq BoardVantage portal;

• The confidence and maturity to deal with demanding international clients; 

• The ability to organize workload with minimum supervision and to operate in a busy environment where deadlines are a feature of the work;

• Excellent written, oral communication and numerical skills.
