Experienced Compliance Professional for Highly-Reputable, Global Asset Manager

Our client is one of the world's largest independent investment management firms that serves an institutional client base across over 50 countries.

We are now seeking an experienced compliance professional who is ideally available at short notice to join their global Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) programme for an initial period of 6 months, with a view to a further extension. The successful candidate will play an integral part within a global team which focuses on the firm's Anti-Money Laundering (AML) matters, the Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) programme and international sanctions regimes.

Reporting to and working closely with the Head of FCC and wider legal and risk management teams, the successful candidate will:

• Refine and develop the global financial crime compliance framework by partnering with MLROs/AMLOs in the US, EMEA and APAC;
• Implement FCC strategic initiatives, including updates of global AML policies and new sanctions;
• Produce risk assessments for the global FCC programme and, on a more tailored level, to client facing teams, encompassing matters like KYC;
• Represent FCC in stakeholder meetings and draft reports for the board when required.

As the FCC team is located across the globe, we are open to submissions from candidates based in the UK or across Europe/EMEA who can work remotely. Though a proven track record of FCC work in investment management would be ideal, we are open to candidates whose experience is focused on other arenas of the financial services industry e.g. investment banking, private banking or wealth management.

Regardless, you must have sound experience of global FCC programmes and project management which may encompass the design of compliance processes and controls and advising on firm-wide regulatory risk initiatives.

As this role has an initial 6-month duration, we are looking for candidates who can assimilate into workstreams quickly and have proven experience of forging strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
