MEDIA / ADVERTISING 3 - 6 PQE – TOP MEDIA LAW FIRM (CORPORATE LAWYERS WANTING MORE COMMERCIAL WORK?)

A fantastic position for a mid to senior level commercial lawyer to undertake work for a range of clients in the media and creative industries but with a particular focus on servicing the firm’s major advertising clients.  You are likely to have between 4 to 6 years post qualification experience as you will be required to have the ability to handle, unsupervised, the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts. 

The work will involve drafting and negotiating service agreements (including global framework master services arrangements), media – buying agreements, procurement agreements, IP licences and other general commercial agreements for a wide variety of businesses.  These include advertising, PR and digital technology agencies as well as other clients of the firm in the music, film and tv sectors.  It will also involve advisory work on data protection, IP rights and  contract law

You will need to have a strong corporate or commercial background from a leading firm and if currently in house will have trained and spent a number of years in private practice before going in house.   The law firm are very open to lawyers with a strong corporate background looking to make a switch to doing more commercial work.  You will also need to demonstrate a commitment to high levels of client service, an ability to turn documents and advise quickly and efficiently, and the flexibility to deliver work product to tight deadlines.  Both an eye for detail and a pragmatic approach to problem solving is essential.
