Our client is a leading film company. It has made some of the most memorable and ground breaking films in recent times. We are supporting them in their recruitment of a commercially-minded film business affairs lawyer with in-depth experience of UK scripted development and production work.

Reporting to the Head of Business & Legal Affairs, you will work as part of a small and close-knit team with responsibility for the following:

* Deal-making for up-and-coming and established talent

* Drafting all agreements relevant to the production cycle of a film

* Supervising, training and providing guidance to junior team members

* Liaising with other business affairs and legal departments on all relevant matters

* Providing support to all other company departments

Your core responsibilities will involve handling all day-to-day matters of development, pre-production, production, post-production, distribution and exploitation of films.

You will readily assume responsibility and demonstrate pro-activity and autonomy, as well as be able to operate in a supportive team environment. As a trusted adviser, you will translate intricate deals into the day to day production environment. Above all, candidates must have high emotional intelligence and professionalism.
