Housing Development Solicitor

THE ROLE

The successful candidate will be a commercially minded solicitor who can work very closely with clients, provide first class practical advice and who is technically proficient in housing development work. Prior experience in Social Housing Development (either working for Housing Associations or volume housebuilders) will be an advantage.

The role will involve responsibility for your own caseload as well as working closely with the Partners and Solicitors of the Housing teams on business development opportunities. A genuine interest in growing business from existing clients as well as targeting and attracting new clients is therefore very important.

THE CANDIDATE

Our client is seeking a development lawyer (ideally with 4+ years PQE) to join their busy national housing team to be based in either the South East or the West Midlands. The successful candidate will undertake a wide range of high quality and complex development work primarily our client's Housing Association clients alongside our client's planning and construction teams.

Candidates will be expected to be able to demonstrate at interview that they have:

* experience of previous development projects;
* excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
* excellent commercial awareness;
* excellent organisation and time management skills;
* the ability and willingness to work flexibly and autonomously;
* a hard working attitude and a resilient nature; and
* a team orientated mindset.
