Job Details

Our client is an international professional services company looking for a Legal Counsel / Commercial Technology Lawyer to join their busy and growing in-house legal department. This is a varied and interesting role involving drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements focused on technology for the procurement side of the business. The position offers a genuine opportunity for an ambitious, hard-working self-starter to push their career forward.

Based in Central London the ideal candidate will:

  • Be a UK qualified solicitor between Newly Qualified (NQ) - 6 years PQE
  • Have a strong grounding in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts including IT / technology contracts (such as software development and licence agreements), confidentiality agreements, services agreements, SAAS, PAAS, cloud and more
  • Be able to assist and help the department on a wide range of other legal matters including, intellectual property, regulatory, compliance and corporate transactions
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a commercial / business outlook to their work
The successful candidate must be able to point to strong communication skills and good business and commerciality skills. You will need to have qualified into a commercial IT / IP department, or worked in-house at a technology / software company.

Our client envisages that candidates between NQ – 6 years PQE will have the relevant skills / knowledge for this position, however this has been given as an approximate guide for applicants and our client is happy to consider the applications of candidates who fall outside of this PQE range but who have the relevant experience.
