The company globally reaches more than 150 million consumers each day through more than 500,000 subscriber locations in 100+ countries around the globe.  Mood’s clients include businesses of all sizes and market sectors, from the world’s most recognized retailers and hotels to quick-service restaurants, local banks and thousands of small businesses.

The Company is looking for a Legal Counsel for our offices based in London.  As a generalist lawyer reporting to the VP of Legal and Business Affairs International the successful candidate will undertake complex high caliber legal missions (mainly commercial law) internationally, giving advice to subsidiaries and affiliates mainly in Europe and in the Middle East and Asia.

Working as part of a strong and established global legal team you will be provided with excellent on-going support and will be given the opportunity to grow and collaborate with others. 

Responsibilities will include:

  • International advisor for all Mood subsidiaries and affiliates in Europe, Middle East and Asia
  • Drafting of corporate legal and administrative documents, powers of attorney and cooperation with local lawyers
  • Drafting/negotiation of international commercial contracts (customers, suppliers and affiliates) for international Mood subsidiaries
  • Management of the Mood brand and domain name portfolio
  • Negotiation of international music licensing agreements with rights organizations and music labels in Europe, Middle East and Asia (especially in France)
  • Management of international insurance contracts
  • Follow up of litigation files

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified lawyer with at least 5+ year’s PQE in a commercial environment. You should demonstrate a detailed knowledge of contract and commercial law, good technical proficiency, and strong attention to detail.

Candidates applying for this position should be able to display:

  1. A strong academic background
  2. Qualified as a Lawyer in England and Wales
  3. A second language (ideally French) is an advantage
  4. Organization and optimization of tasks
  5. Fluent with all computer office software packages
